REUMERT WINNERS AND GENRE BREAKERS

REUMERT WINNERS AND GENRE BREAKERS
Now we can finally present you with the last four performances, which have been chosen for CPH STAGE SELECTED 2026. Here is everything from Reumert-winning dance to real-life stories. If you are quick and buy regular price tickets for the performances before February 27, we will give you a 20% discount.

Among the four new performances you will find Aalborg Teater's touching “Ukrainske kvinder”. Six Ukrainian women living here talk about their views on the war, their sorrows, joys and everyday life in Denmark. “Ukrainske kvinder” is civic theatre where the people on stage – and the stories they tell – are all authentic and deeply personal. Authenticity is also brought to life in the award-winning company fix+foxy's audience-engaging “AI know you”. Here you participate in the performance with your data. Along the way, the audience's digital trail unravels, and the question arises as to whether artificial intelligence knows us better than ourselves. Look forward to a genre-breaking performance filled with surprises that takes on one of the most pressing topics of our time. Read more HERE.

TWO OUTSTANDING REUMERT WINNERS

The programme also features two performances that each won a Reumert of the Year 2025. In the Special Performance of the Year category, won Ruth  Rebekka Hansen's “RIPE BODY”. The solo dance performance takes place outdoors on the quay at the Royal Danish Playhouse in a glass box, where a deeply captivating and sensuous choreography invites you into an exploration of what it means to have a feminine body. “RIPE BODY” is explosive, wild and seductive. The performance “WHITEOUT” by AVIAJA Dance is named after an Arctic natural phenomenon in which a snowstorm can transform the landscape into a disorienting, white wasteland. Through the movements of four dancers, a brutal and poetic tale emerges of losing orientation in life and trying to find the way again. “WHITEOUT” won a Reumert in the Dance Performance of the Year category, and its way of reconciling the human condition with the power of nature makes it something quite special.
