A marvelous and thoughtful tale based on Albert Camus's timeless classic. Marsault is a nihilistic young man living in 1940s Algiers. After attending his mother's funeral, Marsault becomes involved in a series of events that ultimately lead to his arrest and trial for murder. During the trial, Mersault's personality is questioned, and this has fateful consequences for the French clerk.
