“My Father Can Fly” is a personal and black-humorous tale about a child's view of growing up with mental illness in the family. The play is based on real memories told from the child's perspective and confronts our prejudices and taboos related to mental illnesses in the family. The staging is a breathtaking, pictorial and magically realistic collage with live music and object animation/puppetry.
“My Father Can Fly” is about the wildest manias and deepest depressions and about surviving and living with a crazy person whom you depend on and love.
