“Cantus” is a silent theatre about touch, facial micro‑expression and power. Ten musical performers are staged as a choir, where physical contact acts as activation and the face’s micro‑expressions reply like a language without words. Through precise call‑and‑response sequences the work probes who shapes the social and musical narrative — the one who touches or the one who responds.
In short, intimate and often unexpected gestures, “Cantus” lets the music itself become the dramatic intervention in asocial experiment exploring closeness, distance, control and human isolation. The audience is invited to observe, feel and consider how contact and response shape our communities.
