“CALL ME FRIDAY” is an autofictional, tragicomic and pop-ballad-infused performance about the longing for love, cracks in the ceiling, and the silent fear of being alone. In a breathless and glittering monologue, a woman turns herself inside out while gently dissecting the modern dating market dominated by apps and emotionally unavailable “situationships”.
With unapologetic humor, raw honesty, and a mix of the greatest pop ballads, the performance delivers a funny and painfully relatable portrait of a young person fighting to find love in the era of late capitalism.
