Årets Reumert

Årets Reumert is now ready to reveal who will be leading the proceedings. When the awards ceremony takes place on Sunday June 7 2026, the versatile actor Caspar Phillipson will be at the helm. As the host of the evening, he will guide the audience through the ceremony, which returns to the historic setting of Folketeatret. Here, the industry and audiences will come together to celebrate the year’s greatest performing arts experiences, as a total of 18 awards are presented in a festive tribute to the Danish performing arts landscape. Ticket sales have just begun.

Årets Reumert will take over the beautiful Folketeatret in Copenhagen, as Danish theatre and performing arts are celebrated in a grand evening filled with awards and appreciation for the people who create Denmark’s vibrant cultural life. Årets Reumert marks the culmination of an outstanding season for the performing arts, with a spectacular evening on Sunday June 7 2026.

Award-winning actor as host of the year

Caspar Phillipson graduated from Aarhus Theatre in 1995 and has since enjoyed an extensive and distinguished career on both Danish and international stages. He has appeared in a wide range of theatre productions and musicals, including West Side Story (2006) and The Secret Garden (2011), and has also performed as a concert singer and voice-over artist.

Internationally, he has gained significant recognition for his portrayal of John F. Kennedy on the big screen. Most recently, he played Kennedy in "Maria" (2024) alongside Angelina Jolie and in "Hammarskjöld" (2023). Earlier, Caspar Phillipson appeared in productions such as "Blonde" (2022), the international blockbuster "Mission: Impossible – Fallout" (2018), and the Oscar-nominated "Jackie" (2016) alongside Natalie Portman.

In Denmark, he is also known for his performance in the DR hit series "Orkestret" (2022 and 2024), which earned him the award for ‘Best Supporting Role – Series’ at the Det Vi Elsker Prisen (2025).

The newly appointed Årets Reumert host, Caspar Phillipson, says: “I am so proud to be hosting Årets Reumert! The Årets Reumert 2026 awards ceremony will be held at Folketeatret in Copenhagen on Sunday June 7, 19:30. The awards are organised by Dansk Scenekunst and CPH STAGE, who have been the main organisers of Årets Reumert since 2021.

The nominees will be announced on Wednesday May 6 at www.aaretsreumert.dk and on Årets Reumert’s social media channels.
