TURBULENCE
"TURBULENCE" – A contemporary circus performance about climate, migration and what it means to feel at home. Hail the size of a man's fist, droughts, hurricanes, forest fires and floods. Climate change is no longer something vague, belonging to the future or distant lands. It is here and now, and we are in the middle of it.
"TURBULENCE" examines the effects of climate change on ordinary people and the bodily experience of being on the run. Here, five circus artists are put into a physical battle, where the survival strategy requires them to constantly move their base. Their center of acrobatic expression is set in motion and challenged, and they must invent new ways of acting in order to survive.
About the Company: Out of Balanz
Out of Balanz is an award-winning, international performing arts company based in Copenhagen lead by artistic directors, Troels Hagen Findsen and Katrina Bugaj. We make interdisciplinary performances that respond to contemporary existence and bring new forms, faces, ideas and voices to our audiences around the world. As an international touring performing arts company we have toured our work to 18 different countries in Europe, North America and Asia.
