What happens when you put a queer stand-up show on stage? The multi-talented Nina Rask is on stage with her own stand-up show. The show is dedicated to his love for Julie, but is it even possible for Nina and Julie to have a happy ending when hate, doubt and 1000 years of shame come between them?
Is Nina himself innocent of all the anger he directs at the world, and can he manage to survive being 'the funny guy' when all this comes into play, alone on stage with a microphone?
On stage, the queer persona Nina floats between genders, groups and social obligations and sticks his tongue out at narrow-minded storytelling.
Nina Rask takes stand-up under satirical scrutiny and breaks with the genre's conventions and worn-out self-narratives.
The show is a revival of "Nina er sjov", which played to full houses at The Royal Theater in December 2023.
The performance is curated and presented by CPH STAGE in collaboration with Nørrebro Teater.
This performance is in Danish. Tickets for the performance are sold through our Swapcard platform.

Here's an idea of what diverse performing arts looks like today. Nina Rask stands strong and vulnerable alone on stage and delivers an honest, funny and brave experience - somewhere between theater and stand-up. The topics at stake are difficult, but Nina manages to balance the easy and difficult while doing so in a setting that invites everyone along. We can only agree with the title of the show: YES! "Nina is funny."
