Experience three of the country's leading artists when they take the stage in the absurd, humorous and touching circus performance "Faldet".
In the performance we meet three women who have practiced (not) falling throughout their lives. Now they explore the anatomy and mythology of falling with inspiration from autobiographical material. From literature and language to Einstein, Icarus and The Fall.
On stage, they put words to personal, universal anxiety as they unfold the physical and existential phenomenon of 'falling'. The three circus artists freeze at the thought of the loss of control and humiliation of the small fall. They feel the fear of the big, endless fall, but know the difference between falling and failing.
The audience success "Faldet" premiered in November 2024, where it received high praise from Iscene.dk, who gave it five stars.
The performance is curated and presented by CPH STAGE in collaboration with Cikaros and AFUK.
This performance is in Danish. Tickets for the performance is sold through our Swapcard platform.

When an artist challenges gravity, the fear of falling is an inevitable part of the journey. "Faldet" delves into this fact and creates a universe where the audience is taken into the exploration of the physical and existential meaning of falling. While the show resonates with the experienced circus artist, it is also relevant to everyone. "Faldet" reminds us that the fear of losing balance is not just for the performer - it is a condition of life for us all. It manages to convey both the abysmal and the high-flying, which is why the performance is part of CPH STAGE's Selected.
