Time is out of joint. It's in the body. "True Random" is an attempt to capture the feeling of balancing on the edge of the abyss. To have lost your bearings. To have lost the sense of the structure of the world.

There is so much of what matters in a life that is ruled by chance. It can be felt intensely when the world is rapidly changing and is a reminder of how vulnerable we are, how quickly everything can change. "True Random" is a journey where community and the poetic power of moving together is central, and where the meaningfulness of randomness is explored.

In Marie Topp's works, the viewer is placed in emotions. 360 degrees. We are them. We see them. We feel them. You get sucked in.
