The award-winning Australian company Back to Back Theatre visits Denmark with the performance "The Shadow Whose Prey the Hunter Becomes". Here they question how we as a democratic society can make the right decisions. We are reminded that no one is self-sufficient and that everyone has a responsibility.
The performance is a story about a public meeting where three people discuss what to do about their "situation". Through misunderstandings and misinterpretations, the meeting slowly shifts to how society treats neurodivergent people. With themes such as human rights, sex, gender and artificial intelligence, Back to Back Theatre focuses on both the individual and the collective.
Back to Back Theatre has received wide national and international recognition for their work in inclusive theater. The company is made up of actors who all identify with intellectual disabilities or neurodivergence. While they describe their practice as an affirmation of human potential, they are now considered one of Australia's most important cultural producers.
The performance is curated and presented by CPH STAGE, Toaster and REPUBLIQUE.
Tickets for the performance are sold through our Swapcard platform.
