In the Finnish company Wauhaus' audio event, the audience receives instructions through a soundtrack from their own smartphones and headphones. The instructions guide you around Assistens Cemetery and you take part in what resembles a flash mob combined with an audio walk.
"Garden on the Grave" approaches garden cemeteries as 'living places' where cultural and ecological processes are inseparably linked. Inspired by the flourishing individualism and romantic views of nature in the 19th century, the landscape architecture of these mortuaries merges with the centuries-long cycles of decay and creation.
