Throughout history, many rituals have been lost and among those preserved, some have become worn out by time. But which rituals would better fit our time? How could we mark the beginning or the end of love, the passing of seasons and time, recovering from illness, and the end of a pandemic?

Re(w)Rite! is an immersive performance, a ritual universe without fictional elements, roles or characters that takes its visitors on a multisensory journey. The performers initiate encounters that are different for every guest. Re(w)Rite! uses elements of gamification to create a level-based system in which returning visitors experience new content and ascend to higher levels of participation.
Re(w)Rite! will transform the “Frie Udstillingsbygning” in Copenhagen into a Temple for our Time. Its 3,5 weeks program of participatory rituals includes special morning events, afternoon and evening programs and full night sleep-ins.

THE COMPANY : CANTABILE 2
Cantabile 2 moves its audiences with immersive, participatory experiences. The company creates personalized performances by developing networks for interaction and facilitating visitors’ individual paths through them. Visitors are sent on sensual, poetic and challenging journeys through physical and mental spaces.
The performers do not act or play any roles – they are simply themselves and serve as gentle guides who lead their guests through carefully designed situations. This invites a heightened sense of presence and exchange between the audience members and between the audience and performers. Cantabile 2 rarely creates performances for the traditional theatre stage, but develops performances for places where you least expect to find theatre. Their performances are based on the active involvement of each participant: human specific performance.
INTERNATIONAL STRATEGY
Cantabile 2 targets adult audiences of any age - its work tends to appeal to people in their twenties. For collaborations, Cantabile 2 focuses on international partners who are interested in working according to a specific co-production model: Cantabile 2 brings in a small key group and the production’s framework, the partner provides production teams, the remaining performers and the location.
